With everything that goes into producing garments, it is imperative that all apparel components are examined when going the extra step to give the consumer confidence and accreditation of quality. This ensures that no part of the garment is harmful to human or environmental health.
Unfortunately, the dyeing process of clothing can use harmful substances such as formaldehyde. The OEKO-TEX® certification is designed to ensure that the result of apparel dyeing and wet-processing does not have a negative effect on human or environmental health. This ensures that garments are safe for manufacturers, consumers, and the environment.
OEKO-TEX® certificates are exclusively issued by neutral and independent testing institutes. Their strict test criteria is globally standardized and updated annually based on new scientific information or statutory requirements.
